Setonaikai National Park "Mount Noro" is a collective name for several mountains centered around Mount Zendana, 839m above sea level, where there is a triangulation point, and is a highland area. This is a historic place where Kobo Daishi is said to have practiced asceticism, and it has a Chugoku Nature Trail with log stairs, hiking trails, and promenades, and near the peak there is a campsite and a lodge famous for its spring azaleas. From the peak you can see the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands, and it is especially popular for its beautiful sunsets. The promenade around the 8th station is also a great photo spot, with a sea of rocks lined with huge volcanic boulders and oddly shaped rocks, and seasonal plants such as cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and camellias.

This 90m-wide strait between the mainland and Kurahashi Island was opened by Taira no Kiyomori. There is a legend that on the last day of construction, Kiyomori used a fan to invite back the setting sun, completing the work. Currently, there are two red bridges across the bridge: Ondo Bridge, which opened in 1961, and the Second Ondo Bridge, which opened in 2013. Ondo Bridge was the first in Japan to use spiral viaduct technology, and the sight of ships passing under the bridge is spectacular. In addition, at Ondo no Seto Park on the mainland, about 2,300 cherry trees bloom from early March to early April, and about 8,300 azaleas bloom from late April to early May, creating a spectacular sight against the red bridge and the blue sea.

Looking up from downtown Kure, Haigamine stands tall at 737m above sea level, the second highest point in Kure after Mt. Noro. There is a round white weather radar at the observation deck at the summit, which serves as a landmark from the foot of the mountain. As an independent peak, you can enjoy a 360-degree view from the peak, and especially from the south, you can see the mountain slope to the foot of the mountain, the city of Kure, and the Seto Inland Sea beyond, creating a dynamic landscape. At night, the night view of Kure city spreads out before you, and it is said to be one of the three most beautiful night views in Japan. There is also a legend that if the lights on the road read "Kure", couples will be united. This is a spot where you can take wonderful photos any time of the day, from the refreshing blue sea in the daytime, to the sky turning crimson to violet at dusk, to the starry night view of Kure.

*It has been chosen as a filming location for the movie "The Blood of Wolves."
