A reenactment of the Korean Envoy Procession will be held!

Shimokamagari Island has long flourished as a key location on the Seto Inland Sea route, and during the Edo period it was also known as the place that welcomed the Korean Envoys who met as part of a friendly mission.

When a group of Korean envoys visited this area, the entire domain and the island gave them a lavish reception, so grand that it was described as "so grand that the island sank."

At this event, about 250 participants dressed in colorful costumes will re-create the scenes of those days in a parade.
