Mount Noro (cherry blossoms)
Noroyama Sakura.jpg
Event period: Early to mid-April
The Sazanami Skyline stretches from Kawajiri-cho, Kure City, at the foot of the mountain to the summit of Mt. Noro, which is 839 meters above sea level. There are observation decks at various points that offer a panoramic view of the Akinada Tobishima Kaido, making it a popular spot for hiking and driving. In spring, a long tunnel of several types of cherry blossoms forms, making it the perfect spot for cherry blossom viewing.
After the cherry blossom season, the deep green of summer arrives, and in autumn the area transforms into a famous spot for viewing autumn leaves.
Near the summit is Noro Kogen Lodge, where you can stay overnight and enjoy lunch.
